I have mentioned in my recent post About This Blog that I want to help others quit drinking and beat their addiction to alcohol. There are many reasons why I wanted to kick off the habit of drinking. I want to live a normal life and I want others benefit to it as well.
Reason no. 1
I want to gain back the respect of other people whom I know. In the past, they loose their respect to me because of my behavior when I am under the influence of alcohol. The respect slowly vanished due to my attitudes towards them. I lost their respect and I believe that if a stop drinking I can prove to them that I’ve changed for the better.
Reason no. 2
I want my family to know that I am the person they used to know in the past. When alcohol addiction penetrated into my system, I know that my personality changed a lot and they thought that I am an irresponsible, bad and indecent person. I want to gain back that impression.
Reason no. 3
Personal issues like gaining self-respect, self-confidence and self-discipline.
Reason no. 4
Getting out of alcohol addiction by quitting drinking to put my self on the right track is the right thing to do. I know that if I quit drinking, I will walk on the right path of life and I will avoid public scandals and indecent behaviors.
Reason no. 5
Putting my health on priority will be good if I stop drinking. Excessive alcohol consumption always put alcoholic’s health at risk due to intoxications.
There are many reasons that alcoholics may consider if they are planning or thinking to stop drinking or just eliminate their consumption. Eliminating the consumption of alcohol may be good if you can control your drinking and don’t have problems when drunk. But if can’t control your drinking after a shot or two, you should go for full stop and abstain from drinking alcohol. Alcohol abuse has many forms and the outcome depends on the severity of the symptoms the involve individual is experiencing.
Understanding the reasons you may have in mind when stopping drinking can be helpful because you can dig deeper into your personality. List down all your reasons when quitting drinking so that you can fully understand what motivation you can do in order to be successful in giving up the habit of alcohol.
